2025 is a HUGE year. The omens have been omen-ing. You don't need an astrologer to tell you that these times are dangerous and extreme. My heart is in Gaza. My heart is with everyone in Los Angeles. My heart is so many other places but those are today’s priorities. I pray for the end of genocide. I pray for safety and relief. Our souls chose to incarnate during turbulent times. I'm not here to tell you that "everything will be ok." I simply can’t. But I want to help you find a connection to beauty amidst the chaos.
2025 is an extreme year but it has a beautiful shape.
The first session for 2025: A Strange Year is tomorrow and there’s still time to sign up. Limited spots left for all three sessions on Friday 1/10 at 12 pm ET, Sunday 1/12 at 2 pm ET, and Tuesday 1/14 at 7 pm ET. Price is pay what you want with a suggested donation of $25-50.
2025: A Strange Year is part ritual (I will light candles and give journaling prompts), part workshop (we will get into all the nitty gritty details of 2025’s astrology), part gossip sesh (of the personal & cultural variety). This workshop was born from my desire to get my own head in the game to work with the energy of this year. I’m very excited to share the fruits of my labor.
I went with strange as my descriptive word for 2025 for a lot of reasons. Mostly, TBH, I like the way it sounds. I know some people think of this word in its more negative connotation, but I associate it most with one of my most favorite, joyful songs “Strange Magic” by Electric Light Orchestra. When I say 2025 is strange, I mean it less in the unsettling way (though there is some of that), and more in the not previously seen, visited or encountered way. Like meeting a cute stranger.
The highlights include:
Mars Retrograde begins the year, forcing us to retreat and slow down.
The North Node, a fated point that describes what our soul is hungry for, enters Pisces in January. Within a few weeks it forms a conjunction with dreamy, idealistic, and delusional Neptune. The last time the North Node met up with Neptune was in 2008 when Barack Obama ran a campaign on HOPE.
Venus Retrograde in Aries and Pisces dominates the astrology of March and April, and it’s both a spark and a struggle. It's a dance between fighting for and easing into our deepest desires. At the end of it, there's an opportunity to realize the vision. For real this time.
Neptune enters Aries in late March bringing on a new form of idealism. With Neptune in Pisces since 2011, we’ve worshipped a higher power. With Neptune in Aries (2025-2039), we’ll worship warriors. I think this shift is about foregoing highlight reels in favor of GETTING real. Saturn's entrance into Aries in May gives a shape to this idealism. For better or worse, we’re giving up on institutional funding and placing bets on self-producing instead.
Mars retrograde finally leaves its shadow in early May, and that is when things speed up and get even weirder.
Jupiter enters Cancer in June and turns feasts into praxis.
Uranus enters Gemini in July disrupting communication, connection and technology.

In September, we have eclipses in Pisces and Virgo offering both practical and magical steps to transcend the overwhelm. “Look for the helpers” is the vibe. These eclipses along with Uranus' entrance into Gemini—the sign of local communities—will bring a SHARP pivot to what “local” or “familiar” even means. As we ease into this new society, it might feel like living a double life. One foot in the door of the future and the other hanging out in the past.
What if it wasn't about choosing one or the other but about synthesis?
