Before we get into it, yes, the rumors are true: my books are open for June! I have lots of availability during weekdays, with a few evenings and weekends. If you’re not seeing any times that work for you, please email me with your preferred date/time and I’m sure we can work something out !!

After a sleepy balsamic moon long weekend, last night (May 26) at 11:02 pm ET, there was a new moon in Gemini.
This weekend, I actually took my own advice and did what you’re supposed to do during a dark moon phase: rest and tidy up. For the first time in years, I slept for nine hours. For the first time in my life, I put my winter clothes away and set myself up for summer. I made tofu katsu and had some white wine. I know myself enough to know that my mental health could take a plunge at any moment again, especially in this economy. But it feels good to submit to the lunar cycle.

Saturn entered Aries on May 25. I’ll have more to say on this transit in due time. But know my general headline for it is: getting serious about not giving a fuck. (More on this soon, but something about Saturn in Aries native Lorde’s entire press tour for Virgin is very that.) Aries is my 7th house—relationships, contracts, and all kinds of one-on-one connections. Including clients! As I mentioned up top, my books are now open for June. It’s a great time for returning clients to get a Guidepost check-in, summer birthdays to do their solar return reading, and those entering their Saturn Return to get a special reading about that. I’m interested to see how this part of my life will transform between now and 2028.

To get back to the new moon:
This is a sweet new moon. Perhaps the best one we’ve had all year. It marks the beginning of the best astrology of 2025. I don’t want to over promise, June and July aren’t easy. Times are still chaotic. But the astrology of the next several weeks is a party kind of chaos. Late June especially looks like a feast. Then in July, Uranus goes into Gemini, and things keep changing. Fast.
Gemini new moons are extra special for me because it was almost 9 years ago, on the new moon in Gemini in 2016, that I pressed send on the very first issue of moon missives. Bcc’ed straight from Gmail to ~37 friends, frenemies and former theater collaborators. Then last year on the new moon in Gemini, I announced a friends only summer hiatus, which evolved into more of an extended existential rethinking of how I want to show up here.
If 2025 has been good for anything, it’s that, like it or not, the task is to slowwwww downnnnnnnn. In some cases yes, the show must go on (and it’s even gone on here), but it’s clear for everyone, on some level, that something has to change. Or really: get in loser it’s already changing. Around the very auspicious astrology in early April (April 2 to be exact), while doing my daily walk in the park to watch the ducks, I got a direct download about what the next era of this moon letter/writing project should be. I’m very excited about it. More details to come—if all goes well, it’ll take off in late June.
What was crossing your mind in early April? Are any of those pieces coming together?

This new moon in Gemini bookends a year Jupiter traveling through Gemini—a year, just for perspective, that began with the release of Brat. Jupiter in Gemini has brought endless information, relentless doom scrolling and plenty of AI slop. Some are saying the internet is dead. Some (me) are saying Gabby Windey is our last hope for performance art. As we continue to meander through the age of air, mining intelligence and data as we go, things are only getting stranger.
I might sound a little unhinged but what I love about this new moon is that it falls in a part of the zodiac associated with tarot’s 8 of Swords. Which yes is a card that usually speaks to feeling blocked or in a freeze state. The image in the Rider Waite is a woman blindfolded and bound near a barricade of swords. But looking at it, one gets the impression, she’s not being held, but in her own mind prison. This new moon is what happens when we see the trap for what it is. It’s the moment of breaking out of bad habits and mental loops. It’s for letting go of the victim complex. Not because of divine intervention or even from newfound discipline. We always had the key. But for some reason we weren’t using it correctly. With this new moon, we finally finally finally, in a very Gemini way, have all the information.
